Electroneurophysiology

The Electroneurophysiology Program aims to train qualified individuals who can apply neurophysiological methods to analyze the functions of the nervous system and diagnose diseases that arise from these functions. Within the scope of this program, competent healthcare professionals who can work in official or private hospitals and clinics under the supervision and control of Electroneurophysiology and Neurology specialists are trained. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded an Associate's degree and the title of Electroneurophysiology Technician.

Our school provides education at the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Terzioğlu Campus, while practical applications are carried out at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Health Application and Research Hospital and other healthcare institutions in our city. The language of instruction is Turkish. The duration of education is 4 semesters (2 years). Students who successfully complete the two-year program are awarded an Associate's degree.

Employment Areas: Electroneurophysiology Technicians are healthcare professionals who have received training in applying neurophysiological examination methods. Graduates have the opportunity to work in the public and private sectors in electromyography, electroencephalography, evoked potentials, intraoperative monitoring, and sleep units. Students applying to the program should be agile, mentally and physically healthy, have the potential for self-improvement, possess strong communication skills, be tolerant, attentive, patient, and responsible.

Electroneurophysiology Technicians assist neurologists by preparing the necessary materials for tests, conducting electroencephalography (EEG) and nerve conduction studies (ENG), using polysomnography devices, and performing stimulation potential recordings. They also maintain patient records related to the procedures, perform maintenance and repairs of medical equipment under their responsibility, follow calibration processes, and procure the necessary consumables for medical equipment. They actively participate in institutional development, total quality management, and accreditation efforts.

The Electroneurophysiology Technician program aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of the nervous system and neurophysiological examination methods, contributing to the training of qualified personnel in the healthcare sector. Graduates have opportunities to work in areas where they can contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, equipped with modern medical technology.
